Conveyance dated 14 July 1899 from Dublin Registry of deeds no 518 cites marriage settlement with Sophia M Ward 9th June 1856.
Notice in Times of 13 June 1856 gives place of marriage by The Hon and Rev Henry Ward assisted by Revd Robert Richards. He is "Captain in Wexford Regiment and she is only dau of Revd Bernard Ward of Bangor, Co Down.
(Henry Ward was the bride's first cousin and Robert Richards the bridegroom's brother.)
TCD list says Matriculated July 1 1845 aged 16 (Eton College) and Alumni Oxonienses says 1st son of John Goddard of Taney co Dublin arm Trinity College. Matric 21 Oct 1847 aged 19 BA 1850. Student of Lincoln's Inn 1849.
Times of 17 Jan 1874 has notice of his death at Ardamine aged 43
