Information from Alex Buchanan Dec 2000, Glascott Symes April 1781 and J.H.Glascott pedigree of Symes in Stephens Manuscript p126, which says he died of Lockjaw (31 July 1794) as a result of wounds received on 19th July 1794. He was tutor to HRH Prince Edward Augustus, Duke of Kent (Queen Victoria's father). Was Quartermaster General North America 1782 and QM General West Indies at time of death.
